Board Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room at 200 E. 5th Street, Kress, Texas 79052 unless stated otherwise.

Kress ISD will post board agendas 72 hours in advance of the meeting on the foyer glass on the East End of the Build as it has been doing for at least the 35 years I've been in the district.

We will try to post the Agenda and Minutes in a timely manner on the website. However, I want to let the community know that because of our population in our county, Swisher and in City of Kress we are not required to do so.

Board Training & Requirements
New Board Members ~25 hrs.
Experienced Board Members ~9-16 hrs*.

All Trustees on the board as of April 1, 2024 have their required training hours for the school year.**
* required hours after the 1st year will vary depending on how the Post-Legislative Updates, Child Abuse, and Student Achievement and Accountability hours fall for an individual trustee.
**Required "team building" hours are scheduled to coincide with board elections with on boarding new board members.
