Public Announcement for G/T Referral
Kress ISD is beginning the referral process for Gifted/Talented (G/T) services for the 2023–2024 school year. We are committed to providing challenging learning experiences for students with exceptional intellectual and creative thinking abilities. Referral forms will be made available in the office of both campuses beginning September 26th.
Anyone wishing to refer a student attending Kress ISD in kindergarten through 12th grade can pick up or request a copy of the referral form at their school office. This form must be returned to the school by October 13th, 2023. Those unable to go by the school office should call and request a form to be sent to them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kress ISD has implemented a new system for
checking in the offices at both campuses for all visitors.
This system is called Raptor and it is designed to protect our students from sex offenders.
All persons (including parents, contractors, visitors)
wanting access to the either the elementary campus or
high school campus buildings
will need to bring in their DL
or another form of identification.
The ID will be scanned and checked by a centralized database
for sex offenders.
If cleared then a badge will be printed for each visitor to wear.
The badge will include a picture, date and destination.
If not cleared they will not be allowed to enter the building.
After providing ID once and gaining access then future visits will just require checking in the front office for a visitor's badge.

We've been using a new app, Rhithm for our students and staff and will continue this strategy for their well-being.
