Please - ONE SURVEY PER FAMILY. KISD is researching how a modified calendar might affect its students and staff. A modified calendar still requires students to attend the minimum required minutes from TEA (75,600), but would allow for a non-traditional approach to meet those requirements. We will continue to start school in May and end in August either way. If you are also a parent - please fill out the employee AND parent form.

PARENTS - Please fill out the following survey concerning a 4 day instructional week by APRIL 14TH:

We are excited to announce the launch of the HELPme App!
We want to be better connected to our students and their families as well as protect everyone's privacy & dignity.

The app includes a resource library, a 24 hour crisis text-line, and a place to submit reports directly to the school. Reports can be completely anonymous!

You can report needs for yourself or others such as:  food, shelter, clothing, bullying, abuse, depression, and more! Please utilize this tool and let us assist in connecting you with HELP!

Kress ISD has implemented a new system for

checking in the offices at both campuses for all visitors.

This system is called Raptor and it is designed to protect our students from sex offenders.

All persons (including parents, contractors, visitors)
wanting access to the either the elementary campus or
high school campus buildings
will need to bring in their DL
or another form of identification.

The ID will be scanned and checked by a centralized database
for sex offenders.
If cleared then a badge will be printed for each visitor to wear.
The badge will include a picture, date and destination.
If not cleared they will not be allowed to enter the building.

After providing ID once and gaining access then future visits will just require checking in the front office for a visitor's badge.
